Протокол, обеспечивающий прозрачную передачу потоков данных, например, непосредственно с подуровня LAC на MAC. Такая ситуация возникает, когда услуги, предоставляемые МАС-подуровнем, адекватны требуемому качеству обопуживания и отпадает необходимость в использовании дополнительных протоколов (ARQ и т.п.).
